DEMONSTRATION 02 · CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

Alder & Ash Home

Demonstration project · fictional business

A fictional content development project showing how clear themes, useful post ideas and ready-to-use creative can turn inconsistent social media into a manageable content system.

Content with a purpose, not just something to post.

The Starting Point

The problem wasn’t a lack of products.

Alder & Ash Home is a beautiful, curated online store that sources timeless items for everyday life. Their products are high-quality and easy to photograph, but their social media felt inconsistent and tiring to manage. They had plenty to sell, but they were running out of ways to talk about it.

Turning the themes into useful content.

A single topic or object can provide multiple ways to talk to your audience. By mapping the Alder & Aah Home themes against the customer journey, we create a mix of posts that build trust, show expertise and drive quiet, confident sales.

STYLE IT

Useful, saveable content that gives the audience a reason to follow the brand between purchases.

WHY WE CHOSE IT

Product content that explains why something is worth noticing rather than simply announcing that it is in stock.

AT HOME

Lifestyle content that connects the products to real everyday moments.

Start with themes, not individual posts.

We defined four repeatable content areas that ensure every post either helps the audience, explains the product, or builds the brand world. This moves the brand away from 'what should we post today?' to a system where the ideas are already waiting.

01

STYLE IT

  • How to style a mantelpiece for the season.
  • Three ways to use the Alder & Ash 'Everyday Tray'.
  • Pairing textures: wood, linen and ceramics.

02

WHY WE CHOSE IT

  • The story behind our hand-poured candle collection.
  • Why we only stock FSC-certified oak furniture.
  • The craftsmanship behind the 'Ash' dining chair.

03

AT HOME

  • Sunday mornings with Alder & Ash linens.
  • A real customer kitchen featuring our lighting.
  • The morning coffee ritual: Ash mugs in use.

04

FROM THE SHOP

  • Restock alert: Why these bowls sold out in two days.
  • Behind the scenes: Packing your weekend orders.
